Lets introduce you to Google’s all new +1 like button

The all new Google +1 social search “LIKE” button by google was made public recently as they try to re-enter the social media market place. This new announcement comes on the back of the failed Google BUZZ and Google Hotpot recommendation service, which have been unable to sparkle from the start into anything substantial for the mighty dominant search engine force.

Google +1 button

Google’s failure to gain access and control the substantial number of users within Facebook’s system, which does not allow outside intruders to mine the data and index anything published within it. This closed network and the masses of information which google can’t get its hands on is a big sticking point for Google, Social Media is one area of the Internet that its not been able to conquer.

As users become more social using the new breed of smartphones, such as its own Android varieties along with the likes of Apples iPhone, BlackBerry and Nokia’s new windows based phones. It becomes clear how Apps and Social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook take over our lives and become a key communication and socialising platform uniting a host of people around the world, leaving out the Google search page for new and fresh content.  Instead users rely more heavily on friends, colleagues, and followers for up to date information.

With its Facebook Like like button, Google is hoping you will give it a +1 for the hard work and effort.  This is how Google wants you to see its new Social tool “The beauty of +1’s is their relevance—you get the right recommendations (because they come from people who matter to you), at the right time (when you are actually looking for information about that topic) and in the right format (your search results)”.

So how do you get started +1’ing the stuff you like, you’ll need to create a Google profile—or if you already have one, upgrade it. To see +1’s in your Google search results you’ll need to be logged into your Google Account. The English speaking Google.com crowd will get it first, but If you can’t wait, then try visiting Google’s experimental search site.

The full impact and its potential for advertisers on the Google search engine and for websites around the world will be felt once it goes public, until then its still a beta.
